JUST FOR FUN: Two games for slumber parties

"Mafia"
This is a good, non-threatening icebreaker game or perfect for an overnighter/sleepover. You should have at least 6 people. (5-10 people: 1 or no policeman and 1 Mafia)

The objective is to discover who the Mafia people are.

One neutral Gamemaster takes out enough number cards (not face-cards) from a deck of cards, one for everyone. Then replace 4 number cards with 2 Jacks and 2 Aces. Pass the cards out. Those people who get Jacks are "policemen", while those who get Aces are "Mafia." Everyone else are "townspeople". No one should reveal their identity.

The Gamemaster will say: "Everyone, go to sleep!" Everyone must close their eyes and not peek. The Gamemaster continues: "It was a dark and stormy night, and all the townspeople were asleep. But the two Mafia were awake. Mafia, wake up!"

The two Mafia can open their eyes. "Mafia, who do you want to kill?" The Mafia will decide upon a single townsperson, indicating by gesturing discreetly. The Gamemaster must verify before telling them to go to sleep.

After the Mafia close their eyes, "Policemen, wake up! Policemen, who do you think is Mafia?" The policemen get extra information--they gesture and decide on a single person, and the Gamemaster will shake her head yes or no. "Policemen, go to sleep!"

"Townspeople, wake up! , you've been killed!" The townspeople (minus the "dead" person) now discuss who they think the Mafia are, and vote to have one person executed. (The "dead" person(s) have no say in these town meetings.) The people nominated for execution can defend themselves.

After voting, everyone (minus the "dead" people) goes to sleep and another round begins. Gamemaster: even if both policemen are dead, you must still tell them to wake up so no one else knows.

The game ends when both Mafia are executed (Townspeople Win!), or there are only 2 people left (Mafia Win!).
