Congratulations to all the graduates out there! And may God bless you as you start a new phase of your life.
All month long I wonder what I am going to say to you the next time I sit to type out this letter. Well, at church on Sunday, it suddenly came to me. I was singing along with the praise chorus, when a phrase in the familiar song struck me like never before. Forever lost in your love. Wow.
Now before you think I am totally off my rocker, hear me out. Have you ever been lost? Have you ever been so lost that you felt totally helpless and wondered if you would ever find your way home again?
It is a terrible feeling being lost, alone and helpless. But just imagine being lost in God's love. Being so deep in his loving arms that nothing, no one, could ever find you. Instead of utter helplessness and fear, you feel the opposite-total comfort and security, and peace. I think I could handle being lost in that way. Why would I ever want to be found?
I believe that God has called all of us to be lost in that way. If you have given your life to Him, then nothing can separate you from that love. Nothing can reach in and take you from it. You are utterly lost within his love.
Now I don't know if anything I'm saying makes sense to you, but I hope it does. I hope that you want to be lost in God's love too. There is nothing better.
With Love,
Rebecca
