Christmas. It is a birthday celebration! Yet, most of us are more concerned about what will be under the tree for us, or how we will finish our shopping with a limited budget, rather than thinking of giving Jesus a gift for his birthday.
It shouldn't be that way, should it? Jesus should be the first one we think of on Christmas. So, what will your birthday present to Jesus be?
Maybe you've already giving him your heart, your life. Well then, how about more of your time? Perhaps you can give him the gift of devoting yourself to prayer and/or studying his Word. Maybe there is a sin in your life that you've been struggling with and you need to repent--Jesus would be happy to receive it!
You have something you can give to Jesus. Only you know what that is. Here is something for you to do. Write down what it is you want to give to Jesus, place it in a box and wrap it. You can put it under the tree or put it some place where it will remind you of your decision--and help you follow through with it.
You can do this activity by yourself or with a group of fellow Christians. Either way, I hope you will not forget to give Jesus a gift on his Birthday.
