August 2004

The beginning of August marks the near end of summer, "official" summer anyway. Soon my children, along with millions of other children around the country, will be returning to school. So August not only brings an end, but also a new beginning.

You may be grateful for this new beginning, or you may not. But either way, the start of a new school year gives you an opportunity to start with a clean slate. And how often do we get that chance in life?

I am thankful that I have a God who is willing to give me a clean slate over and over again. He is always ready to give me a new beginning, if I am willing to come to him.

Is God calling you to a new beginning, dear reader? He is waiting for you, with that magic eraser of Christ's blood. Go to him today and let him help you start anew!

With Love,

Rebecca
