I am a movie-line quoter. That is, I love to take lines from favorite movies and use them in context with whatever is happening in my life. I do it with books too. It often gets a giggle out of my children, sometimes a roll of the eyes out of my husband. But it's fun.
I'm that way, I suppose, because I love movies and books. And that's not a bad thing. But how often do I quote a verse, or even part of a verse, from the Bible in everyday speech? Oh, it happens sometimes, but not as often as it could...or should.
The Bible says in Luke 6:15 that "out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." What is my heart filled with? I know that my heart has a lot more room for God's word, and I am going to make an effort to fill it.
What about you? Is God's word "hidden in your heart" (Psalm 119:11) so that it naturally flows from your lips?
