Journaling 101

Jog Your Memory

Think of a day from long ago, before you started keeping a journal. It should be a day that stands out for some reason. Maybe the day you received your first "check yes or no" note from a boy at school. Or the first funeral you attended as a child.

Now, concentrate. Try to remember as many details as you can: people that were there, smells, thoughts and feelings. Write down everything that comes to mind. This is a great way to exercise your memory.
