April 2005

Dear Ruby Readers,

I was able to get the site updated a couple of days ago, but this issue of RubyZine Update is going out late again, thanks to a flu bug that has been making its way through the house this past week. But all are better now, and just in time for the end of Spring break.

April is national poetry month. So, it's fitting that we have three new poems to share with you in this issue. I hope that you will take the time to read them. And for you poets out there, maybe you'll think about submitting to RubyZine!

Whether you submit your poetry or not, writing poetry can be a wonderfully theraputic process. And you don't even have to be good at it! Try it the next time you're feeling down about something, or when you want to express your feelings about a special someone. It doesn't have to rhyme. It doesn't even have to make sense to anyone but you (unless you want others to read it, of course). Who knows? Maybe you'll find out that you're good at it! And if you do find that out, send some my way. I would love to read it, maybe even publish it.

With love,

Rebecca
