Dear Ruby Readers,
First of all, I want to wish a heart-felt congratulations to any of our readers who are graduating from high school. I hope that you will stick with us even now that you are all grown up.
As you may know, this past Thursday, May 5th, was the National Day of Prayer. Whether you took an active part in it or not, I hope that you will think about the role prayer has in your life. Are you the type of person who prays every day out of routine? Or only when there's a pressing need? Is prayer a duty or a joy?
I would like to include some features on prayer in the next issue of RubyZine. Will you help me with this? Over the next couple of weeks, write down your thoughts on prayer. These can be in the form of essays, poems, articles--anything. Then, send them to me. Some may be chosen as features for RubyZine. Other, shorter pieces, may be included in a section of next month's RubyZine Update.
Some things to consider as you write:
What is prayer? How do you pray? Is there a right way and a wrong way to pray? How has prayer worked in your personal life? Do you have a story of answered prayer?
This project will only be successful if you, the readers, participate. I look forward to reading your thoughts on prayer.
With love,
Rebecca
P.S. Don't forget to do something special for your mom this Mother's Day.
