Every month, I sit down and write this letter "off the cuff" because I want RubyZine's readers to get a little bit of me, unpolished and unedited (except for spelling errors). So here I am, sitting inside at my computer when I could be outside enjoying the glorious spring breeze that I hear rushing through the trees outside the window. But no worries, I'll walk to the school today to make up for it. My girls will love me for that.
I hope you enjoy this month's issue. The theme is something that I'm sure many, if not all, of you have had pounded into your heads by someone who cares about you: Purity. Now, don't roll your eyes and close this email. You'll find there's some good stuff in this issue, if you keep reading.
The issue of purity, particularly in the sexual sense, is something that has always weighed heavily on my heart. It is something that we all struggle with, and to ignore it or to think it's not important can be destructive-not only physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. I have witnessed, and experienced, the hurt it can cause.
As you read through this issue, keep an open mind. Be thinking about what it means to honor God with your body.
And, as always, if you have questions, prayer requests, or just want to chat, feel free to e-mail me.
With Love,
Rebecca
